Marketing Drain Camera work A few years back I was using a camera daily (provided by the builder), for weeks checking the site servicing (sewers), for a couple hundred lots. Many of the sewers had back fall and other issues and the camera was quite useful in sorting these problems out prior to building on the lots. Recently, I have been contemplating purchasing one myself. There are a couple contractors in town that offer camera services and I’d like to make it available to my customers as well. However, I don’t want to spend a bunch of money only to have the machine sit in the truck most of the time. I do about an even split of residential/commercial service and find I have been doing more and more drain work. Personally, I don’t think a camera is particularly warranted in many cases – depending on circumstances but, I have had customers inquiring about camera work recently. So, I guess my question(s) is/are: 1. How do you market the camera work to the customer? 2. Does the customer perceive/receive value for the service? 3.
